Bankruptcy
Rock 'n roll from the Dominion of Canada.
Toronto's BANKRUPTCY is Rob Benvie of Thrush Hermit fame's new band. It includes members of indie rock heavies, The Dears and The Meligrove Band.
The band strives to balance the snazzy and the scuzzy. To keep it lean, though the temptations of gluttony always lurk.
New Album: 'Computers Makes The Drinks' out this November on Blew//Rose.
Bad Dates
Members of The Inflation Kills, Kitchens & Bathrooms.
Based out of Hamilton, Ontario, Bad Dates combine the immediacy of punk with the whimsy of metal to create a distinctly urgent and catchy sound. The group’s members, Josh Holt, Adrian Murchison, Dave Crosbie, and Ryan Delaplante, make raucous rock, angular and catchy, aggressive but measured.
The band sounds like what might happen if Hot Snakes and Red Fang raised their lovechild in the working class capital of Canada, weaned on Labatt 50 and the aftermath of a recession. And kept a sense of humour about it.
Blackpool Astronomy
Sonic atmospheres and mayhem.
Seattle's Blackpool Astronomy is Jeff McCollough: Vocals. Guitars, Sequencing, Arrangement.

Groceries
A band in a brown paper bag.
Formed by combining the freshest of meats, the tastiest treats, and the grooviest beets, Groceries are a band from Victoria BC.
Fronted by the principal songwriter, singer and (primarily rhythm) guitarist, Leiv Phanenhour. The band has been together for nearly two years, and they play an upbeat kind of indie rock, a-la Mac Demarco mixed with The Tragically Hip (or something like that), with some irreverent stage banter thrown in for good measure. Consisting of two guitar players (Rob Walsh, and Phanenhour), a bassist (Randy Baragar) and drummer (Robert Niemann).
New Album: 'Burnout Lullabies' out 5.22.2019 on Blew//Rose
